ABOUT US

In Loving Memory of John J. Mazzone"Forever Forward," is what John J. Mazzone always said. When John passed on, his family wanted to do something special at his place of rest. While sitting in Giacomos Memorials, John's wife Adrienne said, "the stone has to be made in the USA because John was very proud to be American and it has to have glass, as he loved his glass."

John was a union glazier for years before becoming an organizer for The District Council 9. John's real passion was working with stained glass and taught Adrienne the skill. John used to say when he went to get stained glass supplies, "it's like being in a candy shop."

Adrienne created a stained glass cross, had it encased and sealed, then placed in the headstone just in time for Father's Day. Jack Saffioti of Giacomos said. "I was moved by the beauty and would like to offer my customers this option."

Once Adrienne received the patent pending stamp, she and her children began to move forward. Today, SGM is offering various designs, pre-encased units of art. Custom designs can also be created and are welcomed. A solar powered lighting unit is offered as well.

John's children, Jake & Sirena, together wrote "He Will Be Watching Over Us Thru The Windows of Heaven"; that is etched on the back of John's headstone, along with "Made In USA."; Going thru life without their father is tough. Sirena's first birthday without her father landed right on Father's Day. Upon visiting St. Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery they experienced many people that didn't know John coming over to admire the stained glass. It was a feeling of emotions, sad, happy and catching their breath, as the sunlight cast a shadow of the cross on the ground. This moment made them realize that this is something that should be shared and certain that John would be happy for them

Together, Adrienne, Jake & Sirena Mazzone are keeping John in their hearts and living his words "Forever Forward."
